Fair Electronics, a concern of Fair Group, has been awarded with the prestigious Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certificate by the National Board of Revenue (NBR). This certification recognizes Fair Electronics as a trusted and compliant trade partner, ensuring faster and more efficient cross-border operations. As an AEO-certified business, Fair Electronics can now transport cargo directly from ports to its factories or warehouses through a green channel, by passing physical inspections. This will significantly reduce clearance time, lower costs, and enhance overall efficiency in trade operations.
The AEO program officially commenced on Sunday, February 23, with the aim of streamlining import and export processes through a seamless clearance system. The inauguration ceremony was held at the National Board of Revenue (NBR), with Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), and NBR Chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan. Mr. Mohammed Mesbah Uddin, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Fair Group, received the certificate on behalf of the company. Among the other dignitaries were NBR officials and Mr. Kazi Nasir Uddin, CFO from Fair Group also attended there.
Notably, Fair Electronics is the only consumer electronics and mobile phone manufacturing company in Bangladesh to achieve this prestigious certification, reinforcing its leadership in the industry.
