The British High Commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson said that the Fair Group is a great example of Bangladesh’s ability to produce world class products. They have the reflection of the bright future of Bangladesh.
After visiting the factory of Fair Electronics Limited, a concern of Fair Group, at Shibpur in Narsingdi on Wednesday (February 23, 2022), the British High Commissioner also added that, Through this, they have reflected the future of the manufacturing sector in Bangladesh. It’s really inspiring.
Arriving at the Fair Electronics Factory in the morning, Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahboob, Chairman of the Fair Group, gave a hearty welcome to the British High Commissioner, Robert Chatterton Dickson. Mr. Mutassim Daiaan, Director, Fair Group was also present there.
The British High Commissioner was accompanied by his partner Ms. Teresa Elber and Shahriar Rauf, Head of IT at the High Commission, Khalid Gaffar, Acting Head of International Trade, and Mahtalat Mahbub, Executive Assistant to the High Commissioner. They visited the different floors of the factory and inspected the production process.
Later on, British High Commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson said, We often say that Bangladesh needs to diversify its manufacturing sector. Stressing on the need to spread the success of the country’s garment sector to other sectors, he also added that, I saw that happens in the fair electronics factory. They also proved that it is possible. I am extremely fascinated. The management of Fair Group, the staff and all concerned have worked together to achieve this.
“I hope that British companies will be interested in getting Fair Group as their partner in this country,” said the British High Commissioner. I have instructed my team to work towards that goal. I have seen men and women working together with equal dignity. Together they are producing world class products in Bangladesh on the factory floor. I think this is the future of Bangladesh.
British High Commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson said, the Fair Group has set an example for those who wants to know that, Is Bangladesh has the potential to produce world-class products. Of course, Bangladesh has that capability. The Fair Group already proof that. I am impressed by their tremendous leadership and the achievement of this egalitarian, young, innovative team.
Mr. Ruhul Alam Al Mahboob, Chairman, Fair Group, thanked the British High Commissioner and said that the visit of the British High Commissioner, Robert Chatterton Dickson, has been a source of great encouragement and inspiration to us. He expressed interest in setting up factories in Bangladesh in the future jointly with a famous British company. Mr Mahbub said if any British organization was interested in corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Bangladesh, Fair Group would be interested in working with them.

Noor Mohammad Sikder (Retd.), Head of Communication and Corporate Philanthropy Hasnain Khurshid, Head of Business Rayan Rahman and COO (Factory) Brigadier General Akramul Haque (Retd.) Were present on the occasion.
Senior officials of Narsingdi district administration and district police administration were also present on the occasion.
Fair Electronics Ltd. manufactures Samsung’s mobile phones and TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and microwave ovens at its Narsingdi factory
