DailyStar – Secret Recipe’s journey in Bangladesh

Starting in October 11, 2017, Malaysian café chain Secret Recipe garnered the attention of Dhaka’s foodies with its award-winning cakes and other delicious items. Originally, the café began its journey in 1997 in Malaysia  and gradually expanded operation overseas in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, China, Brunei, Maldives and most recently in Bangladesh.

Currently, there are six outlets introduced in the country. Secret recipe is currently available at Dhanmondi, Khilgaon, Green Road, Gulshan 2 and Shantinagar. There are also plans to open three new outlets in the next few months to make a total of 9 outlets. The outlets are categorized into four types with the flagship outlet being in Dhanmondi, standard outlets in Khilgaon and Shantinagar, express outlets in Gulshan and Green Road, and an express plus outlet in Gulshan Doreen Tower.

Apart from the pastry and coffee corner, all premium dishes of Secret Recipe are served in the flagship outlet. Expect salads, soups, pies, along with premium dishes like mutton rogan josh, lamb chops, beef steak, lamb shank, and Norwegian salmon steak as well as tea and coffee items for a full fledged gastronomic experience!

Currently they are offering a special set menu for students at Tk 250 only. As an added plus, different offers are available on different times at the outlets.
